Dry-type transformer core paint (silicon steel sheet insulation paint) is a two-component, room temperature fast curing epoxy resin insulation paint with good insulation performance, high temperature resistance, small brushing and smooth surface. Application:

Dry-type transformer core-painted silicon steel sheet insulation paint plays a vital role in the interior of the transformer. The core of the transformer constitutes the magnetic circuit of the transformer, and at the same time acts as the skeleton of the body. The transformer core is generally formed by a 0.35 mm thick silicon steel sheet coated with an insulating varnish. Iron core coated varnish is mainly to reduce core loss:

1. The silicon steel sheet itself is also an electric conductor. Under the action of the AC magnetic flux, an induced current is also generated in the iron core.

2. If the iron core is not coated with insulating varnish, the iron core will become a whole, which is equivalent to a conductor with a large area, and its resistance value is small. Although the induced voltage is not high, the induced current is large. This produces extreme eddy current (circulation) losses. In severe cases, it will cause iron core heat and even rust to melt, which is called iron core "fire."

3. After each piece is coated with insulating varnish, the core is divided into a number of small cross-section conductors. Thus its resistance becomes larger. Painted iron cores, although there are also eddy current losses (part of the iron loss), are much smaller.

4. Therefore, the silicon steel sheets are thin and coated with insulating varnish.
